Below you will find a listing of natural and organic resources I personally use or have come across doing research. I do my best to keep this updated, but some of the information may no longer be accurate. I do not accept paid endorsements or advertising.

  • BC Kitchens (IMDesigns) www.imdcabinets.com   This company makes aluminum cabinets, which will not outgass like wood.

  • Benjamin Moore Natura Paint www.benjaminmoore.com/natura This is the one of very few paints I am able to tolerate on the interior of our home.  They offer a vast array of colors to choose from, and covers quite well. There is very little odor, and it is no VOC. Check the website for dealers that carry this line or can order if for you, not all do. Some Ace Hardwards also have it.

  • BioShield www.bioshieldpaint.com 1-800-621-2591 Natural paints, stains and some household cleaning products.

  • The Company Store www.thecompanystore.com 1-800-323-8000 They have a limited offering of organic cotton sheets, pillows (also come in wool), bedding and mattress covers.

  • Coyuchi www.coyuchi.com Great line of organic bedding,blankets, robes and towels.

  • Executive Cabinetry www.executivecabinetry.com Beautiful cabinets for your kitchen and bath, Executive is  Greenguard Gold Certified, with no added formaldehyde and finished using waterborne stains, paints and sealers. 

  • Flor Carpet www.flor.com 1-866-281-FLOR Modular carpet tile that is Low VOC and contains some recycled materials. Their website explains it all, and you can order sample sizes, too.

  • Gaiam www.gaiam.com This company offers some natural/organic clothing plus a variety of home items including filters, furniture, bedding and exercise equipment. They also own a company called Real Goods, www.realgoods.com, which has an interesting line of solar-powered and other earth friendly outdoor products.

  • Green Guide from National Geographic www.thegreenguide.com An informative website with info about living "green", plus kitchen tips, recipes, personal grooming info, much more.

  • Lifekind www.lifekind.com 800-284-4983 A variety of organic mattresses and bedding, also cleaning supplies. 

  • Nordstrom www.nordstrom.com 1-800-285-5800 Limited selection of organic cotton bedding and towels, also clothing.

  • Pottery Barn www.potterybarn.com Organic cotton sheets, towels, bath rugs and quilts. They may also offer natural seagrass and rattan furniture and rugs, upholstered furniture made with FSC-certified wood, also recycled materials.

  • Target www.target.com They offer organic cotton sheet sets and blankets in some stores and on their website. The dyes used are said to be environmentally friendly, the prices are definitely great! And look for their organic cotton baby toys as well.

  • Viva Terra www.vivaterra.com 1-800-233-6011 A variety of “earth-friendly” products including limited selection of organic bedding, and some fun gift ideas.

  • West Elm www.westelm.com 1-888-922-4119 My favorite place to buy Organic Cotton sheets, duvets, towels, bath rugs. Styles and colors vary by season.

NATURAL SKIN CARE/PERSONAL GROOMING & COSMETICS

  • All Natural Cosmetics www.allnaturalcosmetics.com 1-888-586-9719 Great selection of several brands, including their own, of cosmetics, skin care, home care, pet care – all without chemicals. You can order sample sizes so you can try before you buy full size products…quality products and excellent customer service!! One of my personal favorites is Logona Natural Henna Crème hair color, completely natural and so simple to use! 

  • Andalou Naturals www.andalou.com I personally use their natural skin care products and body moisturizer. I particularly like the line for sensitive skin, 1000 Roses. I also use the Coconut Water firming cleanser and toner and really like it, especially in the summer.

  • Annmarie Skincare www.annmariegianni.com  A very natural and organic skincare line, including unscented products. 

  • Aubrey Organics 100% Natural hair, skin and body care carried by many health food stores as it is a very pure line. I've tried and liked Lumessence, a rejuvinating eye cream...it doesn't burn my eyes, which many eye creams do.

  • Avalon Organics www.avalonorganics.com Organic skin care and body care products.

  • DeVita Skin Care www.devitaskincare.com  Extensive line of skin care and make-up products. My favorites include their mascara, body moisturizer, and eye make-up remover.

  • Dr. Mercola's Personal Care Products www.mercola.com You'll find a variety of personal grooming products, including one of my favorite toothpastes, Natural Mint Toothpaste with Tulsi.

  • Heritage Store www.HeritageStore.com A "holistic health store" with a variety of products, including a good shampoo for fine and thinning hair.

  • Lavera Skin Care www.laverausa.com Natural skin care and cosmetics

  • Logona USA www.logona-usa.com A pure and natural line of cosmetics, skin care and personal grooming products for women, men and children. I love their creme foundation, lipsticks, and creme henna hair color. I've used the creme henna for years and it covers the grey and offers a beautiful array of natural looking color choices.

  • Lotus Moon www.lotusmoon.com Very pure and natural skin care, I love their cleansers and toners. They also have a great hair "wax" that works really well.

  • Real Purity www.realpurity.com A very pure line of skin care, cosmetics and grooming products. I've used their deodorant for many years, and love it!

  • Saffron Rouge www.saffronrouge.com 1-866-FACECARE  A Canadian company that ships to the USA offering a variety of well known brands of skin care and cosmetics with organic ingredients

  • Feel Goodz Flip-Flops  www.feelgoodz.com Natural rubber flip-flops that are 100% recyclable and  biodegradeable.  This company has a philosophy of giving back...you will also enjoy the story of how this company came to be.

  • Vickerey www.vickerey.com This company offers a variety of casual clothing, some in organic cotton, as well as some yoga accessories.

HEALTHY EATING

Organic foods have gone mainstream...you can find them at Target, WalMart, Costco, Sams Club, and most major supermarkets. There is also an online store called Thrive Market. I have never shopped with them, but if you live in an area without access to natural/organic foods, it might be a good resource for you. If you are looking for specialty items, below is a list of companies I have either ordered from myself, or were recommended to me. While I believe many people can benefit from a gluten free diet, many of these foods are made with grains and sweetners that have a high glycemic index - so read labels carefully. I  personally don't recommend any food with more than 20 grams of sugar, if you can keep it under 10 grams that is even better!

  • Glutino www.Glutino.com Gluten Free foods.

  • Bob's Red Mill www.bobsredmill.com Offers gluten free grains (delicious gluten free oatmeal!) and also has other organic/natural foods.

  • Healthy Chef Creations www.healthychefcreations.com 1-866-575-2433 Delicious and healthy meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) delivered to your door. They use only natural and organic ingredients as well as items for those watching their weight. And you can customize your meal by selecting gluten-free, dairy-free, low sodium, options.

  • Julian's Bakery www.juliansbakery.com  Low Carb, Paleo, and Gluten Free breads and food.

  • Vital Choice Seafood www.vitalchoice.com 1-800-608-4825 A variety of wild salmon products including burgers and sausage. Limited selection of organic fruit, nuts and teas.

  • Whole Foods www.wholefoods.com You can’t order online, but they offer good information about organic food plus great recipes.
